Unmasking Your Thyroid Bloggers Event Last Sept. 21, 2016, I’ve attended A Bloggers Event entitled Unmasking Your Thyroid at Holiday Inn, Makati, wherein Merck, the World’s oldest pharmaceutical and leading pharmaceutical in the Philippine talks about Thyroid Disorder, to give highlights and awareness among Filipino’s. According to the Phil. Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in 2012, one in 11 Filipino Adults has a disease called Goiter, and around one in 12 Filipino Adults suffers from some form of Thyroid Disorders. Millions of Filipino’s are affected by thyroid problems, but, the awareness of this condition has low ratio percentage, and some thyroid symptoms are mistaken with other pathological entities.
