HOTEL SOGO NEW NORMAL PLAYBOOK PREVIEW

In the midst of COVID19 pandemic crisis, sanitation, social distancing, cleanliness, safety and health of employees and guest is the topmost priority of each employers and companies. 

Big applause for Hotel Sogo for making a good program and features for the New Normal living of all citizens in the Philippines. Thank you for being part and helping our Government by giving a free lodging to all healthworkers and OFW's on this crisis. As a healthworker, I salute your effort in bringing safety and generosity to mankind. So part of my responsibility as an influencer. I'm writing this article to share new information of Hotel Sogo for its new normal scenario in our country.

Hotel Sogo, the leading hotel chain in the Philippines is now ready to leap into the new normal as part of its So Clean, So Good, So Safe campaign under the Sogo Safe Program that aims to secure the safety of its employees and guests.


I. Backgrounder

• Hotel Sogo continuously implements precautionary measures such as temperature checking upon entering the hotel, placement of alcohol and hand sanitizers in common areas, and information dissemination on COVID-19 since December 2019.


• Enhanced cleaning and sanitation are also been applied in all its branches.

II. Corporate Social Responsibility (Sogo Cares Program)

• Hotel Sogo is the first to provide free room accommodations that served as a temporary shelter to healthcare workers and frontliners. 

• A total of P80-million worth of donation or more than 800 room accommodations were given to healthcare workers, OFWs, and seafarers repatriates for free

• This is in coordination with 10 city mayors and 31 hospitals in the country

III. New Normal Features

• At Hotel

1. Uniforms of the hotel staff are redesigned to incorporate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


2. Temperature screening and disinfection mats upon entering the hotel. 



3. Social distancing in the front desk.


4. Installation of the protective acrylic glass panel in the front desk. 



5. Social distancing with markers and limit of persons in elevators.

8. UVC light treatment is also modified in elevator consoles, door handles, keycard cases, cash register, and food preparation







9. Use of UVC disinfection light array cart in cleaning and disinfection of rooms and bathrooms. Studies show that the use of UVC, with wavelengths between 200 and 270 nanometres (nm), can kill microbes, germs, bacteria, and viruses. This has been adopted since the use of UVC is done in recent years and is also used in disinfecting hospitals as UVC kills pathogens and microorganisms.





10. Constant disinfection in all amenities is also implemented

11. No-contact facilities from lobby doors to toilet fixtures thru installing foot door opener and foot-controlled dispenser.


12. Hotel Sogo has created newly designed giveaways for guests such as no contact keys and sanitizers. The no-contact key serves as a tool in touching common objects like door handles, elevator buttons, and ATMs.


13. Hotel Sogo Mobile app is also up for contact tracing.



• At Corporate Office
1. Temperature checks upon entering the office.
2. Hand sanitizers in common areas.
3. Limit to the number of people using the elevator.
4. Social distancing in the workplace and in crowded areas like the canteen.



5. Provision of multivitamins to employees.

For new normal living, indeed, it will be a difficult one. It's a big adjustment to each and everyone. In terms of businesses and transportation. Until a vaccine is made, safety of each citizens should be taken seriously. To tell you honestly, our health sector is badly affected. Many of my fellow healthworkers are dying. So, to all reading this article, be alert especially if your going out, practice hand washing, use alcohol and face mask. Increase your immune system by taking vitamins and some exercise. Do your part. We heal as one.
