Travel Blog: Climbing the Peak of Diguisit Falls & Ditumabo Falls, 2 Famous Falls in Baler. (Baler Trip 2017)
Never in my dreams that I could climb and reach the peak of a waterfall. But, somehow I managed to survived this strenous activity last 2017, when, I went to Baler Aurora. Yes, I'm a nature lover. I appreciate the beauty of the elements of water, mountains and trees
That is why, when my special someone ask me to go in Baler for a weekend vacation. I said, yes eventually. My first waterfall that I encountered is called, "Diguisit Falls", its my Day 1 (Nov.12, Sunday) in Baler. It's near the road, tourist can easily noticed this wonderful waterfall, as you passed by going to Aniao Islet in Aurora.
So, what makes this waterfall excitingly beautiful. Aside, that the water is so cold. You can feel the strong currents flowing down on top of the mountain because of the recent storm. Strong water currents are seen that makes it more extremely risky to climb..
Imagine, I need to climb the steep and wet soil going up, and I need to cross the strong tides zigzagly just to reach the peak. But, I need to be very careful. There are rocks beneath the water and the only thing that I can hold on to, are the branches of woods. I really got scared upon crossing because of the strong currents and sharp rocks while I continue to walk on the other side..

But,with the help of my partner JM, and some guy strangers. I managed to climb the peak and float while holding the big rocks in front of me. As I feel the currents flowing, I can't express how happy I am, experiencing the beauty of nature with the one I love.
Another, memorable moments that i'll be keeping in my heart. I don't have any photos on top because our camera might get wet due to humidity and big drops of water in the atmosphere. I just enjoyed the moment, that mother nature allowed me to lay down and feel their presence.
The second waterfall is called, "Ditumabo Falls". One of the tourist spot in Baler, that you shouldn't missed.

This is second to the last place that I visit after Balete Tree. If I survived the 1st waterfall, this time, I'm hesistant because you will trek for almost 1hr just to be on the exact location. Aside, that you need to have your own tourist guide. They told us, that this will be a difficult one because all the wooden bridge is washed away by the storm.
But, of course, my partner JM insisted that I need to see this Majestic Falls. Frankly, I never thought how hard it is to trek in unlevelled ground and to fight with strong currents while holding a rope just to crossed on the other side. And, you need to climb big rocks just to pass over another uphill climbing.
My tourguide is so helpful, patient and generous. We exchanged sandals because it was swept twice due to strong rapids of water. Thank God she managed to help me by. Her names is CJ Sembrano. She easily instructed me the proper way to climb the huge rock formation to walk on the strong tides of water. To sit and hold on to the rocks and cements because there are no bridges. This is the most strenous and extreme activities that I've done in my entire life and I'm so grateful that I was able to overcome all of this. Its worth an adventure. As we near the exact location of Ditumabo falls. My heart started to jump with glee. I was so excited to see Gods creations. And, lots of people are taking their pictures. I was so mesmerized with the place. The wind and splash of water coming from the waterfalls is very cold. I can feel my spirit floating with joy. I'm thankful to our dear Lord that I was able to see and experience this place even its "buwis buhay" on my part. First time to try a serious and long trekking, crossing tides of current only using a rope and climbing big sharp rock formations just to crossed on the other side as we achieved to reached the peak of the waterfalls. An experience of a lifetime, only in Baler. I'm grateful to my honey JM for making it possible. I'm proud of myself that I exceeded beyond my boundaries. And, everything is possible you just need to believe & take its course.
Thank you for reading my travel adventure in Diguisit and Ditumabo Waterfalls in Aurora, Baler.
Lots of Love,
