I was surprised, when, I received a message coming from the owner of this Chinese Food Chain named Mark Tiu, it will be the first time since pandemic that I was invited to promote or to have a food review on a certain food establishment like Cabalen, Himawari, Moon Bar, Mesa and many more to mention. So, we make an ex-deal collaboration. The location of Yummy Box. PH is in Manila, and I live in the south, even, if the invitation is in the afternoon, dinner time. I grab their invitation, because I'm curious, about what YUMMY BOX.PH offers to their clients. Also, I wanted to help them to gain more exposure in digital world even if they already have loyal customers who loves their YBX dishes on their area.
What is bing sutt? it means ice room in cantonese, a place where people to meet, take a break, have a coffee in a trendy western treats. And Yummy Box. PH is the only bing sutt store that I've known in Manila and Mr. Tiu wanted to introduced their store in pinoy millenial crowd to taste their distinctive chinese wok styled dishes.
At first glance, you will noticed, how simple the place is, but, when, you watched the Chef who cooked this authentic Hongkong Chinese Styled Chicken and noodle canton. You will be amazed, how he adapt the "WOK" cuisine styled of Oriental Chinese way of cooking in less than a minute.
You will loved their flavorful dishes, its well-seasoned wok meals that is mouth-watering, with a distinctive aroma and taste. And, their best-sellers are the YBX Original Chicken, Patatim and Pancit Canton Combo.

During our food review, we've talked that Mr. Mark Tiu started to build this place last November 2021, The area was a big market before but due to pandemic, a lot of businesses had shot down. So, as a vegestable dealer businessman, he decided and his partner Kenneth Ting to venture in food business to revive the area and YUMMY BOX.PH was born, Some of his Kitchen staff and Chef lost their job, and he hired them. He taught them how to cook the Chinese styled Chicken and even rediscovered new and exciting menu, where their client loved and ordered numerous times during occasions & events.
What does YUMMY BOX. PH offers, it gives food bloggers and food lovers, like me, a unique and authentic chinese wok styled food meals, an oriental cuisine different from pinoy styled taste with a twist using WOK cooking in a high flame.
Indeed, I was so amazed, it was my first time to watch a live WOK cooking in action, that I ordinarily see in a Chinese movie while, the characters are having a large full meal in a Chinese restaurant. Imagine, a hot pan with high flame around it, yes, it looks dangerous, but, I'm very impressed how the chef manage to tossed the ingredients, seasoned & pour the right amount of oil while, stir frying the food that they prepare for us, in couple of minutes and it was done in a speedy & smooth manner
Every photos that I have taken, looks very interesting and delicious, the preparation of their best-sellers Jumbo Chicken is given 3 hours, so, advanced orders are taken before hand. The Chinese Jumbo Chicken is so soft, tender and mouth watering, its not ordinary chicken, it is cooked in Chinese wok way seasoned so every bite is tasteful. Also, the Chinese Patatim is so tender and the meat is soft, and the sauce is very appetizing. Most of all their Pancit Canton is like the canton in a high end restaurant like savory. And, one of my favorite that they served is the Hot Prawn Salad, mixed with sweetness and seafood taste, its flavorful. And, I can't believe that you can cooked and make a salad in a high flamed wok bowl.
