The Italian Chamber's Aperitivo event returns
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines acclaimed networking event is finally back for its first 2016 edition. Its previous four events in 2015 have been a great success attracting many celebrities, VIPs, embassy staff, numerous expats, local businessmen, food & wine lovers lovers and many people interested to network and mingle in a great atmosphere.
The event is organised in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Dante Alighieri Institute and with the media support of Rogue Magazine, Travelife Magazine, ANC and the Philippine Star. Active sponsors and special supporters are the Wine Suppliers My wine and Itasia. All together proudly present the first “L’Aperitivo Italiano” of 2016 on March the 2nd, 2016, from 6pm to 10pm at Seda Hotel, 30th Street corner 11th avenue Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.
As one of the highlights of the event Chef Salvatore De Vincentis will introduce again the unique food specialties from Naples while the Italian wine suppliers will propose their great wines. In addition, get your swimming wear ready as for the first time ever, guests can soak and swim in Seda Hotel’s magnificent swimming pool from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Historically, the word “Aperitivo” originates from the Latin verb Aprire which means 'to open' – while the  idea behind is about an alcoholic pre-dinner drink that opens (or stimulates) the appetite. The most common drinks during an Aperitivo are simply red and white wines from Italy, and various other drinks  and mixers like Prosecco, Spritz, Campari, Bellini and many others.
Italians love having this pre-dinner drink accompanied with various antipasti, cold cuts like Parma ham, salami, sausages, parmesan, mixed cheese plates, mini pizzas (pizzette), Caprese salad other cold salads, preserved vegetables such as mini onions, bell peppers and other local delicacies.
After a long working day, the Aperitivo is the best relief from a stressful day. Meeting up with friends, colleagues, neighbors and new people is a much more than a typical happy hour event. It is rather astylish way to enjoy good food and drinks in good company. Ultimately the Aperitivo is for many Filipinos and Expats a social lifestyle event with Italian gastronomic flair where guests have the privilege to enjoy the best Italian wines and tasty appetizers. Attending this exciting event may be a great opportunity to establish new connections with other guests.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, with its various initiatives has definitely set a trend for the Manila business networking scene. Social events, trade missions, exhibitions, trainings and team building events together with various other services build the core of the new philosophy of this vibrant chamber. Its members are happy to be part of such a vibrant group which is rapidly expanding and conquering more and more businesses, entities and organizations.
