Chan Lim Family of Arts Unveils over 100 years of Hand Painted Chinese Lanterns!
Amazingly, I was invited at the first set of program of SM City North Edsa for Chinese New Year Festivities wherein over 100 hand-painted Lanterns will be exhibited by the well-known Chan Lim Family of Artist & Students and they will also, held a Chinese Painting Lantern workshop for selected media bloggers & art enthusiasts.
A grand collection of Chinese Painting Lanterns filled with artistic designs, unique & delicate stroke with elegance that targets Chinese heriditary cultures & traditions.
Featuring, 1000 lantern works of 35 different Artist from Chan Lim Family of Artist & Students that showcase every year in various locations across our country.
Recently, I've found out, that on earliest days of Chinese Culture, Lanterns are entrance-way lightning, it's highly ornamental & decorative in chinese Houses, temples & palaces, it serves as a portable light on gateways .
Also, Lighting a Lantern means "Illuminating the future & giving Birth". A way of mankind to pray for smooth futures and wishes goodhealth for families.
So, I was so delighted and excited for being part of this Chinese Celebration, wherein I met some of Chan Lim Family, who has been actively involved in Chinese Lantern Art for more than Four Decades now.
