Sun Life And Fitness First Announce Partnership!!!

Sun Life Financial is teaming up with premiere health club Fitness First to help more Filipinos get on track with their health and wellness goals through the GoWell program.


GoWell is Sun Life's health and wellness community that promotes holistic wellness through a fit and active lifestyle, eating healthy, and living a balanced life. Its website www.gowell.com.ph, offers fitness and wellness content with articles from experts; while community workouts and fitness classes are also offered to its members.


With the partnership with Fitness First, group classes at select Fitness First branches will be offered to GoWell Gold members for free. All participants will receive tokens for attending said GoWell classes. Community Workouts will also be mounted jointly by Sun Life GoWell and Fitness First, while Fitness First events will also be supported by GoWell.


Moreover, a series of workout videos featuring GoWell ambassador Bubbles Paraiso and Fitness First ambassador Chris Everingham will be released regularly for the rest of the year via the GoWell website and social media to encourage more people to get fit.


"With both Sun Life and Fitness First committed to being the Filipinos' partner in their health and wellness journey, the possibilities in the horizon definitely look exciting,' Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said. "We aim to spark the Filipinos' enthusiasm to pursue their fitness goal and they can look forward to more initiatives from this partnership,' he said.

During the Presscon, Sun Life Wellness Campaigns introduces Sun Fit and Well, wherein a new generation of wellness products will cover the needs  from prevention to diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation.  It provides cash benefits that covers 114 illnesses.


Also, Jaymie Pizzaro mentioned on the video, that Gowell.ph is a community that provides platform for individuals who is passionate with health, fitness and wellness. Definitely, Gowell.ph provides venue for fitness activities for health and sport enthusiasts.


Moreover, Filipinos loves to exercise to be healthy and improve mental health. But, 57% has lack of time due to work and 47% lack of motivation. But, I've learned from the Q&A, that if you really want to do something and your eager to make a change and to have a healthy living, you will make time for it. Having a busy schedule or being pre-occupied from work is not an excuse to exercise. You can run, dance, swim or go biking to stay fit.  What matters is how you motivate yourself and you need to belong to a community that shares one goal to stay healthy and live longer because failure of exercise declines your overall health performance. 


Furthermore, Bubles Paraiso, Gowell Ambassador said, if you have a healthy life it shows into your face and how you respond to people inspired them to be healthy as well. She's happy, she's breathing and taking yoga everyday. But,what's more important is you'll be an inspiration to others, she said.

Indeed, some millenials and corporate employees are getting difficulties of taking exercise. I'm guilty as well. But, during this Presscon, it's a big eye opener for me. It makes me realized that I need to take care of my health. I need to widen my understanding in getting a healthy living. I guess, I need to take small steps and I need quick action.
